DMB Supports Charlottesville’s Public Housing Redevelopment with $5 Million Contribution

DMB is pleased to share that with its upcoming hometown concerts, the band is seeking to rally support for the reinvestment in public and affordable housing in Charlottesville. A portion of the proceeds from the John Paul Jones Arena shows will be included in the collective $5 million that Dave Matthews Band, Dave Matthews and Red Light Management will donate towards the renovation and/or replacement of all of the city’s public housing while building additional affordable housing. The band’s contribution will serve as a catalyzing major gift in the ongoing fundraising campaign for the resident-led, multi-phased project.

The housing crisis is one that is a national and international problem; we’re proud to be a part of the solution right here in Charlottesville.  We hope that other donors will be inspired to join us!  Click here to donate.
